GE Aerospace Announces $5 Billion U.S. Air Force Engine Contract

Cincinnati – March 14, 2025 – GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE) today announced a $5 Billion contract agreement with the U.S. Air Force, to supply the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program with F110-GE-129 engines to power allied nations F-15 and F-16 platforms.

With more than 11 million flight hours over 40 years of operation, the GE Aerospace F110 engine has a proven record for providing superior thrust and operational efficiency for its military customers around the world. “This contract underscores the enduring trust in the F110’s performance, reliability, and value for our customers and their critical missions.” said GE Aerospace Defense & Systems president and CEO Amy Gowder. In December 2024, the F110 engine celebrated 40 years of continuous production.

The Aerospace and Defense giant will deliver an unspecified number of engines, spares, and associated services over a fixed period to help support the evolving needs of allied operators.
